The new Siri with artificial intelligence is not expected to be launched for almost a year, the analyst at BloombergMark Gurman. In the latest edition of the newsletter Power Onthe analyst mentions that the updated virtual assistant will be launched in the northern hemisphere spring.

Os AI-powered Siri testing to begin in January — first, with developers —, Gurman found out. The assistant’s public debut would take place between March and June of next year.

Apple Intelligence’s new Siri is expected to be part of iOS 18.4, one of the operating system’s complementary updates. According to the analyst, the build is already in development.

That new virtual assistant would be significantly more powerful than the current versioncapable of not only understanding more complex commands, but also interacting with Apple applications using voice commands. It should be able to interpret the content displayed on the screen, edit photos based on prompts and send messages to specific contacts.

As previously predicted, more basic Siri features, such as integration with ChatGPT and the new interface, are expected to arrive later this year. In the most recent edition of the newsletter, Gurman does not mention the expected release of additional features, such as support for typed commands.

Apple Intelligence coming to Vision Pro later

In the most recent article, Gurman reinforces that Apple Vision Pro will also have Apple Intelligence functionsbut they will only arrive next year.

However, Apple Intelligence is not expected to arrive on Apple smart home devices. The AI ​​package is expected to debut only on the “table-top robot”, a type of smart screen that Apple has been developing for months.

iOS 18 is currently in the testing phase of its first version. The system is available for download only to developers, but does not include many of the features promised at WWDC.
