Galaxy S25 may have a variant with a MediaTek processor, says website

The next Galaxy S25 could feature a MediaTek chipset, the South Korean website reported The Financial News this Wednesday (26). Samsung would be considering the brand as a solution to overcome the low yields of the Exynos platform and the high manufacturing cost of the Qualcomm Snadpragon 8 Gen 4.

According to the report, the Samsung considers applying a sales strategy with three different chipsets: The Galaxy S25 line would have models equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the Exynos 2500 and the best hardware from the MediaTek Dimensity line. Therefore, there would be three variations of the technical specifications of the same device, varying according to the country.

The company would need to adapt each Android update to the three different variants of the same cell phone, which could delay the development period and make the system less optimized.
