The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra could mark the return of the square look of Samsung smartwatches. The informant known as @OnLeaks disclosed on the website Smartprix high-resolution renderings of the new high-end models this Friday (24).

In general, the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra should have a squarer look, but with rounded edges and a new rotating crown shape. The contrast between the display and the construction provides a unique and recognizable look, and allows you to preserve the system and application interface.

According to the informant, the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra’s display measures 1.5″ — the same as the Galaxy Watch 6. The measurements of the new watch are approximately 47 x 47.4 x 16.4 mm.

It is not clear why this construction is more square on the sides, but perhaps it is to incorporate more components. In any case, the rotating crown remains, allowing user interaction.

It is also reported the addition of a new button, this one also round, but positioned on the right side of the smartwatch. Its purpose has not been revealed, but it could be a dynamic shortcut similar to the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra.

Adjust sensor position

On the inside of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, the renderings show a set of circles and squares making up the sensors. The clock should also keep the thermometer, but now closer to the center.

Finally, the new look allows for a more discreet fit for the personalized bracelets and more space for the speakers. However, so far, it is unclear whether Samsung will take advantage of the extra space to integrate larger drivers.

So far, there is no official information about the launch of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. However, the new smartwatch could be presented at the next Galaxy Unpacked, an event expected for July 10th this year.
