More information about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Ring was recently revealed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Anatel in the United States. Details about the foldable’s battery capacity and available sizes for the smart ring appeared in public documents discovered by the website MySmartPrice.

The site found the Galaxy Z Flip 6 listed as model SM-F741U. According to the FCC document, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have two batteries (structure required for folding design). One of them will have 1,097 mAh of capacity, while the other will have 2,790 mAh, totaling 3,887 mAh.

Samsung will probably release the device with a rounded value of 4,000 mAh, even though the component does not have that much capacity.

Compared to last year’s foldable Galaxy Z Flip 5, the new model will have 296 mAh more battery. The 8.3% increase is discrete, so it should not introduce significant improvements in autonomy, unless the chipset and other components are more energy efficient.

Also according to the FCC database, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will support Wi-Fi 6E networks and UL Demko certification ensures compatibility with 25W rechargers.

In previously found Geekbench benchmark tests, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was found to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Made for Galaxy processor, paired with 8GB of RAM. The listing on the Camera FV 5 website points out that the main camera will have 50 MP resolution with f/1.8 aperture.

More about Galaxy Ring

The FCC also provided details about the Galaxy Ring. Samsung’s smart ring will be sold in sizes ranging between 5 and 12. Sizes 5, 6 and 7 will be equipped with a 17 mAh battery, while 8, 9, 10 and 11 will have 18.5 mAh. Finally, the size 12 accessory will have 22.5 mAh.

Although the battery seems small, these are common values on the market. The Oura Ring, a well-known accessory in the sector, offers model options ranging between 15 mAh and 22 mAh, depending on the size.

In the case of Oura Ring, the device’s autonomy varies according to use — the more you access resources, the greater the energy consumption. The experience with the Galaxy Ring should be similar.

More official information about the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Ring should appear soon. Recently, South Korean media confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked will take place on July 10th and Samsung is expected to take advantage of the occasion to present the new devices.
