3. In some cases, especially on newer Smart TVs, you will need to authorize the connection through the device’s own settings. Therefore, just follow the step-by-step instructions that appear on the screen, as they vary depending on the brand and model of the television;

4. After connecting your TV, you will have the following mirroring options:

  • Computer screen only – Leaves the TV screen on standby to be used whenever you want;
  • Double – mirrors the content being displayed on your notebook screen;
  • Extend – Expands the notebook screen using the TV as an extension;
  • Second screen only – The notebook screen goes blank and only the TV is used as the main and only one.

5. Done, now just choose one of the options and play the content from your notebook on the TV.

How to mirror your laptop to your TV via HDMI?

To do this procedure, Your notebook must have an HDMI input. Although it is common in today’s models, there are still some that choose not to include this type of connection.

If your notebook has the input, just use an HDMI cable and follow the steps:

1. Connect the HDMI cable to your notebook;

2. On the Windows main screen, right-click to open the options menu;

3. Then click on “Display Settings”;

4. Then, press the “Screen” option;

5. In the column on the side, you can see the screen orientation, showing which is the notebook’s and which is the TV’s. At this point, you can change their direction if you choose to use the “extended screen” format. To do this, simply click and drag the screen to the desired direction;

6. To adjust the way you mirror your notebook on your TV, scroll down the menu until you find the “Multiple screens” option.

7. Once there, choose the way the image will be displayed, as shown in the image below;

8. That’s it, now you can play the content from your notebook screen on your TV.

How to mirror your laptop to your TV via Chromecast?

1. Open Google Chrome on your notebook;

2. Once in the browser, click on the three-dot icon, which is located on the right side of the screen, as shown in the image below;

3. Then, click on the “Broadcast” option;

4. Then select your Chromecast from the list;

5. Now, press the “Cast” button to start mirroring;

6. That’s it, now you can watch the content on your notebook on your TV.

Is USB cable good for transmitting image and audio from PC to TV?

Unfortunately, There is no way to mirror the notebook to the TV via the USB cable. To do this, you need to buy an adapter that has an HDMI port, like the one in the image below.

Once you have it, just carry out the connection process using the HDMI cable, mentioned above.
