Huawei has just launched its new generation of small smartwatches in Brazil, which, for the first time, come in a shape closer to a square, similar to the Apple Watch. The Huawei Watch Fit 3 stands out for its ultra-thin design, screen, advanced exercise tracking and long battery life.

The new watch comes with a 1.87-inch AMOLED display, 1,500 nits and 60 Hz, in addition to running the latest version of the brand’s watch operating system. There are more than 100 sports modes available for tracking, some of which can take advantage of motion sensors, integrated GPS and water resistance up to 50 meters deep.

In addition to tracking activity, the watch also displays animations of warm-up and cool-down stretches for eight common exercises, including running, cycling and swimming. It is worth noting that the event also served as the stage for the launch of the Huawei Freebuds 6i, a more affordable version of the brand’s True-Wireless (TWS) headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC).

The Stay Fit app was also remodeled to encourage a healthier lifestyle, with management of calories consumed and nutritional analysis of the food eaten. The watch will also use this information along with physical activity tracking to make intelligent exercise suggestions to help you reach your health goals.

Improvements to the heart rate sensor and the TruSeen 5.5 algorithm allow measurements of heart rate, stress, respiratory rate and blood oxygenation level with greater speed and precision – in addition to menstrual cycle details, when relevant. This information is now also integrated by the TruSleep 4.0 algorithm to allow for more in-depth monitoring of your sleep quality and offering suggestions for better sleep through the Huawei Health app.

Watch with a renewed look and connectivity

Navigation can be done via the touch screen, or via the rotating crown, which allows you to zoom in on the application menu or scroll through the list of sports, in addition to accessing menus and switching between recently used apps. The side button allows you to directly open a predetermined application.

The watch body is made of aluminum. In addition to the thin and light design, measuring 9.9 mm thick and weighing 26 grams, the look has been renewed with new color and strap options. The white, green, pink and black models come with fluoroelastomer straps to reduce skin irritation, while the gray comes with an adjustable nylon strap – and the gray and white options add a red accent on the rotating crown.

Connectivity is via Bluetooth and allows you to answer calls, view and respond to notifications on all systems, as well as listen to synchronized music from your cell phone directly on your watch if your smartphone runs Android or EMUI, or remotely control your camera’s shutter if for iOS or EMUI. And the 400 mAh battery allows you to use the watch for an average of 7 days without needing to be recharged, but can reach up to 10 days with more moderate use.

Huawei’s new TWS headphones were also launched in Brazil, but without major changes to their appearance. They come in purple, black or white, are still made of good quality plastic and come in an in-ear format, combining a rubber seal with a cable that hangs outside the ear, serving to bring the microphones closer to the mouth, giving a larger area for touch recognition to control functions such as swiping, pausing and resuming music, answering and ending calls and controlling volume.

A highlight of the new headphone is the presence of the dynamic intelligent ANC 3.0 system, which according to the brand is “the best noise cancellation in a headphone in this price range”, filtering ambient sounds so you can focus on your audio or just Take advantage of the silence to focus on tasks or your moments of relaxation. All this without sacrificing sound quality, highlights the brand.

The battery promises up to 8 hours of audio playback with ANC off just when charging the headphones, reaching up to 35 hours without noise cancellation including recharging the case – turning on the cancellation has a significant impact on battery life, but Huawei did not specify these numbers. As for recharging, the manufacturer claims that 10 minutes of charging is enough to guarantee another 4 hours of use.

O Huawei Watch Fit 3 is now available in Huawei’s official Brazilian stores on Amazon, Livre and Shoppee. The official price of the new watch is R$999, but until June 27th the company is charging a promotional price of R$899.
