The Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm’s major annual event, will take place between October 21st and 23rd this year in Maui, Hawaii, United States. A conference should highlight the official announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4new top-of-the-line processor for cell phones.
A Confirmation of the event date came in an update on Qualcomm’s official website. Now, the Snapdragon Summit 2024 highlight page features promotional material related to the conference, showing the date and location of the occasion.
This year, the The main news of the event should be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The new chipset will be a landmark revision of Qualcomm’s processor line, finally integrating the Oryon cores, currently only present in the Snapdragon X Elite, into high-end cell phones.

For now, there is not much official information about Qualcomm’s new high-end chipset. However, leaked Geekbench 6 benchmark tests show that the component delivers 2,845 points in single-core processing and 10,628 in multi-core, but these numbers are still very preliminary.
In addition to the processor still being a mystery, the first cell phone to feature it has also not been confirmed. Generally, Xiaomi and Samsung are the first companies to present new models with the newly launched chip — and, this year, perhaps the newcomer will be the Xiaomi 15.
