Avail announces airdrop of 600 million AVAIL tokens

Avail, a Web3 infrastructure built on Polygon’s software development kit, has unveiled plans for a major token airdrop. The initiative, known as the “Unification Drop,” aims to promote unity across diverse blockchain communities and reward contributors from different ecosystems.

Details of the airdrop

Avail will distribute a total of 600 million AVAIL tokens to eligible users. The distribution includes allocations for blockchain ecosystem developers (90 million tokens), testnet users (49.5 million tokens), rollup users on different blockchains (380 million tokens), Polygon stakers (70 million tokens), and community contributors ( 10.5 million tokens).

Notably, the airdrop is not limited to Avail or Polygon ecosystem participants. It also aims to include contributions from a wide range of blockchain ecosystems, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos and more.

AVAIL tokens will play a critical role within the Avail ecosystem, allowing users to access Avail DA services, participate in governance, and secure the “unification layer” through staking. Qualification for the air can be checked through their official pages.

Project overview

Founded in 2020, Avail consists of three core segments: Nexus, Fusion and DA (data availability). Avail DA improves basic transactions by applying advanced techniques such as KZG obligations and data sampling for availability.

Meanwhile, Avail Nexus serves as an essential cross-chain bridge, enabling seamless transactions and asset exchange across multiple blockchains. Avail Fusion enables liquid staking of assets on platforms such as Ethereum and Bitcoin.
