The price of BNB, Binance’s cryptocurrency, increased by 17% in one week and its capitalization exceeded $100 billion.

The price of Binance’s cryptocurrency, Binance Coin (BNB), reached its record high at $712.59 (655.57 euros) on Wednesday June 5, bringing the capitalization of Binance Coin to more than $100 billion, according to the Coinmarketcap website. It thus beats the previous record established in 2021 (at $671.78).

Cryptocurrency has seen a boom in recent days. The price of BNB increased by 8% on Wednesday and 17% in a week. It now occupies 4th place in the ranking of the 100 largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization, according to Coinmarketcap. It is positioned behind tether (USDT), ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC). The capitalization of Binance Coin is only 12 billion less than that of tether.

This record shows investor confidence in the Binance token despite the company’s legal setbacks. Last February, Binance agreed to pay a record fine of $4.3 billion to the American justice system following an agreement reached with the Department of Justice. This sanction followed violations of anti-money laundering rules, to which the former CEO, Changpeng Zhao, had pleaded guilty. He also began his stay at the federal prison in Lompoc, California, on Friday May 31.
