The alleged Google Pixel 9 has appeared in the hands of a consumer in a video shared on X, formerly Twitter. The images show the top of the line in pink, revealing the design of this year’s release.
The video was shared by user @hanibioud on X, allegedly recorded in Algeria. The clip is short, just 13 seconds, in which he shows the entire body of the device, but without turning it on at any time. In the same post, the tipster attached high-resolution photos of the Pixel 9.
As expected, the Google Pixel 9 will have very prominent edgesbut with well-rounded corners. The camera module has been updated, embracing both the dual cameras and the LED flash, but in a horizontal pill shape that protrudes quite a bit from the back of the phone (apparently made of glass).
Pixel 9 is already out in Algeria.

On the bottom, there is the USB-C port, speakers and microphone hole. The entire side appears to be made of metal, with plastic strips for antennas.
According to the informant, the device was found in Algeria and has 256 GB of storage. The pink color, new to the base models of the Pixel family, matches the color description “Peony” anticipated in a leak released in April.

Naturally, the images should be viewed with suspicion. As of now, there are no other Pixel 9 videos circulating around and the person responsible for the recent leak promises to give more information soon.
Imminent release
Although the images don’t inspire much confidence, the official announcement isn’t long away. Google will hold its “Made by Google” event on August 13th this year, where it is expected to unveil the Pixel 9.
Until the event arrives, more images of the Pixel 9 should emerge. For years, Google’s launches have been anticipated in leaks — or even leaked information ahead of time.
