Do you want to dominate Instagram?

Why do not do it? Instagram is very powerful!

However, many people and businesses are still not taking full advantage of it. Over the past year I have completely dedicated myself to learning as much as possible about Instagram to get the most out of it.

The result? I applied all my knowledge and went from having 0 to 70,000 followers on Instagram to this day.

Instagram allowed me to create a new personal brand completely from scratch.

Today I will share with you all the tips and tricks for Instagram that have led me to success.

1. Post more than 30 hashtags

This is a tip for those who love adding multiple hashtags to their photos on Instagram. There is currently a small loophole on Instagram that allows you to exceed the maximum of 30 hashtags.

You will need to follow these steps to add up to 60 hashtags to each post and give your post greater visibility.

This is how you should do it.

Post your photo or video as you normally do. Make sure there are no hashtags in the original description, otherwise the trick won’t work.

Then copy and paste 30 hashtags into a comment on your photo or video.

Once you have done this you can go back to edit your photo description and add the other 30 hashtags.

2. Research hashtags for your posts

Some hashtags you can use are quite obvious but they are precisely those hashtags that tend to be used too frequently and your posts can get drowned in them. Some hashtags like #business may be relevant to your publication, however this hashtag alone encompasses almost half a million photographs. Your photos can be lost in just a few seconds.

What you should do then is use popular hashtags that are not used excessively. The trick is to do proper research on Instagram.

You just have to start with a common hashtag. I chose the hashtag #business for this example. Then scroll down.

Notice how #negociopropio only has 80,000? This hashtag might be a better option to use. You can easily find more hashtags like this just by scrolling down to get more suggestions every time you search for a common hashtag.

Continue until you find your 60 hashtags. It may take a while but with this you will achieve better results and greater interaction.

These are some hashtags you can start using to get you going in the right direction:

  • #entrepreneur – 379,000 posts
  • #emprendehoy – 4,200 posts
  • #successful – 75,000 posts

3. Save hashtags to use later

Ready to learn more tips for using hashtags on Instagram? Here’s one to keep you organized.

It already happened to us. You have the perfect photo or video on Instagram and, after posting it, you only have a little time to post your hashtags.

No! You panic and forget all the hashtags you wanted to use. Even worse? You don’t even remember the most important hashtags.

Don’t worry. All you have to do is create a note and organize the hashtags by categories. If you have a business account, you can, for example, create hashtag categories like this:

(Don’t forget to maximize the 60 hashtags trick I shared with you before?)

4. Hide hashtags on Instagram

A list of hashtags on every post on Instagram doesn’t look very good. You may even seem desperate for attention and you probably don’t want that. What can we do?

Here’s a little trick you may not know yet.

Hide those hashtags using “.” and spaces. All you have to do is save them in your notes like this:

5. Save drafts for later

We’re going to leave the topic of hashtags behind to share more Instagram tips for your visual content.

Did you know you can save posts as drafts? Yeah! You can include a photo and its description among your drafts.

How to do it:

  • Tap the + sign on your screen to take or upload a new photo or video as you normally would.
  • Edit your photo, add your description, location, etc.
  • Click on the arrow pointing left at the top of the screen to return to the previous screen (an icon like < appears on iPhone).
  • Click the arrow (or < icon) again.
  • A message will appear on your screen asking if you want to save the draft or discard it. Just click save.

Important: Sometimes your drafts can disappear when Instagram updates its app, so it’s best not to save too many.

6. Monitor comments on ads

Instagram ads are compelling. They are a great way to generate leads and traffic from Instagram. The problem is that you can’t see the comments.

7. Record video with your hands free

If you are alone and want to record a video yourself, you just have to click on the “+” sign, as you would normally do to upload or record your story on Instagram.

Then just click on the “Hands Free” option to start recording. You can choose to save it or upload it to your story on Instagram.

8. Share photos from your camera in your stories

You finally managed to take the perfect photo for your Instagram story. The problem? You only have 24 hours to publish it.

Don’t worry, if you can’t publish all your photos at the same time you just have to take a screenshot so that photo appears as new. The quality may not be the best but it is a great way to resolve this situation.

9. Mention other accounts in your story

What I love about stories on Instagram is that you can tag other accounts in it

Tagging is simple, all you need is to write their name as you would in a description. If you type it correctly then you will see something similar to this:

instagram mentions

Otherwise you will only see your text.

Your followers will be able to see who mentioned you and click on the username to go directly to the profile. When someone mentions you in their stories you will receive a notification.

10. Gain more followers

Shout for shoutout or #S4S or #SFS is a great way to gain more followers on Instagram. This works when you find an account similar to yours with a similar audience and approach them asking if they are interested in trading a mention for others. If they are interested then each one will mention the other in their Instagram stories.

This method alone has helped me gain thousands of followers. The key is to find accounts that are appropriate or similar to yours.

11. Get free statistics

If you want to get statistics cheaper all you have to do is switch to a business profile. The business profile includes statistics that can help you determine whether your Instagram strategy is working or not.

Switching to a business profile is very simple. Just go to your options and click “Switch to Company Profile”, connect with your Facebook page and that’s it.

12. Make your descriptions more readable

I don’t know about you but when I read something on Instagram I prefer there to be adequate spaces in the text. This makes your Instagram descriptions much more readable. I know, it’s just when you look at your iOS keyboard that the “back” arrow is just not there. (If you are an Instagram user you can continue to the next tip).

Is there. Just click the 123 button.

13. Turn off comments

Do you have any type of content that you don’t want someone to comment on?

On Instagram you can disable comments. It’s very simple too. Just click on the “…” and turn off comments.

Now no one will be able to comment on that post.

In summary:

These Instagram tips and tricks can be very helpful if you are new to Instagram. I recommend that you bookmark this post so you always have it at hand.

Once you do it, go to Instagram and put several of these tips into practice. We’d love to know if they worked for you.
