Xiaomi 15: leak points to significant improvements in cell phone cameras

The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro cell phones may have a main sensor with a multilayer-based anti-reflective coating, according to leaker Digital Chat Station. In theory, technology It is capable of improving light transmittance to reduce ghosting during image capture.

The technology will be possible due to the custom 50 MP OmniVision sensor that Xiaomi will include in these devices. This sensor should be 1 to 1.3 cm wide.

The sensor with anti-reflective coating will also be present in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the most advanced device in the line. This will also feature a periscopic lens, which could make the cell phone a strong competitor for the new top-of-the-line phones from Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Huawei and others.

The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro should be the first cell phones launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The smartphones should be announced in China in October, with the 15 Pro expected to be launched only next year. All models will have the Xiaomi AISP feature, based on artificial intelligence (AI), to improve the quality of photos and videos.
